"Superior doctors prevent the disease.

Mediocre doctors treat the disease before evident.
Inferior doctors treat the full-blown disease."

“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. "

–Thomas Edison

Welcome

Integrative Functional Medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach, engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership.  While the conventional medicine approach suppresses the patients' symptoms, Dr. Hubbard asks and addresses the question of why the symptoms exist in the first place. She identifies and addresses the scientific drivers (causes) of the disease, which include genetic predispositions, toxins, infections, allergens, stress, and poor diet.

This website and my centers are dedicated to helping you achieve optimal health. I practice Integrative Functional Medicine as well as Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Integrative Functional Medicine (IFM) is a science-based, personalized, and comprehensive lifestyle approach for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. My focus is on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of chronic diseases instead of suppressing the symptoms. I treat the body as one whole system of interconnected organs which needs to be balanced in order to achieve and maintain optimal health.

My patient-care model includes the best of conventional allopathic approaches blended with complementary and alternative medicine, which together address the biological, environmental, social, and psychological aspects of health. Each patient receives a customized health plan which may incorporate lifestyle modifications, stress elimination techniques, allergen desensitization, detoxification, weight loss, nutritional counseling, acupuncture, botanical and homeopathic medicine, and/or exercise programs.

I like taking the time listening to each patient's story, evaluating, and determining which are the genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that affect that person's immediate and long-term health. Then, the patient and I examine a wide array of available treatments and together we customize a plan that will have the most impact on the underlying causes of that illness. Using this Integrative Functional Medicine approach has helped many of my patients find answers to complex, chronic conditions.
